TRAVEL INSURANCE
At Humbergrove we have always been interested in travel insurance and have a good understanding of the intricacies relating to the subject. We know how important it is to fully protect you and your family whilst abroad. We offer a cost effective solution to provide the travel insurance you need, without compromising the levels of cover.

Whether you are going on a week long family holiday in Europe or trekking around South America for 18 months, it is imperative that you and your family have the protection in place should anything go wrong.
We have access to a limited number of travel insurance policies offering a comprehensive level of cover and first-rate claims handling.
The different types of travel policies available are:
- Single Trips
- Annual ‘multi trip’
- Long Stay / Backpackers
Single Trip ?
If you venture abroad no more than once a year, especially in Europe, a single trip policy is clearly for you.
Annual ‘multi-trip’ ?
For multiple trips usually for periods of up to 31 days, an annual ‘multi trip’ policy is often more cost effective. We will happily run through the various options.
Long Stay / Backpackers ?
Policies are available if you are ‘travelling light’ and wish to obtain essential cover, for example, medical expenses and public liability.
OTHER THINGS TO BEAR IN MIND
With or without baggage cover ?
Many travel Insurers offer a discount if you exclude this section of the policy. Your home insurance may already provide baggage & personal effects cover for temporary trips abroad, so check your policy before asking us to quote.
With or without cancellation cover ?
We would never recommend excluding this section of the policy.
Hazardous Activities or Winter Sports cover ?
Many policies are designed for a lazy beach holiday but the more adventurous of you may wish to try white water rafting or take a day trip skiing in the mountains. You must make sure that you have adequate cover for this before you travel.
Disability & Pre-Existing Medical Conditions
Every time you travel abroad you must comply with the medical warranty which is part of your policy wording. Most Insurers provide a medical health check phone line for medical referrals.
