OUR BACKGROUND
Humbergrove Insurance is most definitely a family run business.
Our sister Linda began our ‘Insurance’ journey by joining General Accident Insurance in 1959. She now works, very part-time, at Humbergrove ‘for love rather than money’.
Alan Oxley (Director) ‘Young Mr Grace’ joined General Accident from school and 23 years later he took the plunge into insurance broking. He acquired Humbergrove, a small insurance business in Hemel Hempstead, in 1990 and found Ian lurking in the corner. Ian Burden (Manager) had been employed by the previous owner since 1983.
Kevin Oxley (Director), he should have known better, also joined General Accident from school and was soon being bossed around by his big Brother (and Sister). He soon moved into insurance broking and in 1994 joined Humbergrove by opening our second office in Harpenden.
Virgil Stonebank (Manager) joined us in 1999, to complete the management team.
We pride ourselves in providing a personal, friendly and professional service.
Our success is due to the dedication of ‘The Team’ and of course to the loyalty of our customers.
